The multi-layer cyclone high-efficiency sand removal complete equipment is a high-efficiency modular solid-liquid separation device. It breaks through the limitations of traditional cyclone grit chambers, and greatly increases the effective sedimentation area by adopting a multi-layer conical stacked disc structure. This technology is mainly used to remove fine inorganic sand and gravel from municipal sewage and industrial wastewater, and is one of the sand removal processes with the smallest footprint and high removal efficiency internationally.
Structure&Principle：
The multi-layer cyclone high-efficiency sand removal technology achieves high-efficiency separation by utilizing the principles of centrifugal sedimentation and boundary layer velocity difference. The specific process is as follows:Sewage is tangentially introduced into the concrete tank through a channel and evenly distributed to each hydrophobic polyethylene stacked disc via a water distributor, forming a cyclonic flow. Under the action of centrifugal force, gravity and fluid shear force, sand and gravel with a higher specific gravity settle on the surface of the stacked discs, slide down to the central opening, and then accumulate in the sand storage zone at the bottom.A fluidization system can be installed in the bottom sand hopper to prevent caking, turning the deposited sand into a uniform sand-water mixture. This mixture is then pumped out of the tank continuously or intermittently by a sand pump to a sand washing device or a sand-water separator.The sand-free treated water flows through the overflow weir at the upper part of the tank into the effluent channel, and then enters subsequent units for further treatment.
