Application scenarios:
The center-driven single (or double) pipe sludge suction machine is suitable for sedimentation tanks of large and medium diameters with peripheral water inlet, peripheral water outlet, and central sludge discharge. It is mainly used for sucking and discharging sludge in the secondary sedimentation tanks of urban wastewater treatment plants.
Structure&Principle:
The equipment adopts a centerdriven, verticalframe structure. Wastewater enters the peripheral distribution trough and flows evenly into the tank through the distribution holes at the bottom of the trough. Under the action of the peripheral waterretaining skirt, the water flows from the bottom of the tank toward the center. Sludge settles at the bottom of the tank by gravity, thereby achieving solidliquid separation. The drive unit rotates the central vertical frame, which in turn drives the scraper arms and sludge suction pipes to rotate. Under the action of hydrostatic pressure, sludge uniformly enters the suction ports arranged on the suction pipes, and is then discharged out of the tank through the central sludge discharge pipe via the sleeve valve in the sludge discharge well. The amount of sludge discharge can be controlled by the lifting degree of the sleeve valve. Surface scum is skimmed toward the edge of the tank by the skimming device and then scraped into the scum hopper by the scum rake for discharge. Meanwhile, the supernatant liquid overflows through the triangular outlet weir plate into the outlet trough for discharge.
Main Features:
1. The peripheral inlet and outlet troughs of the sedimentation tank adopt an edgesection design to ensure uniform water distribution and outflow around the perimeter of the sedimentation tank.
2. The drive unit uses a combination of a helical gear reducer and a worm gear reducer to ensure output torque and rotational speed with high transmission efficiency. The reducer is equipped with an overtorque protection device for safe and reliable operation.
3. When φ ≤ 40m, a singleside suction pipe is used; when φ > 40m, doubleside suction pipes are adopted.
4. The sludge suction pipes discharge sludge through horizontally perforated pipes, which do not interfere with the density current in the tank and ensure stable effluent.
5. The suction ports on the conical sludge suction pipes are uniquely designed with variable hole spacing, increasing from small to large from the inside out. This ensures balanced sludge suction across the entire tank bottom, improves sludge concentration, and saves sludge return power.
6. There are two scum skimming methods: platetype skimming and pipetype skimming (the former is usually adopted).
7. The equipment is easy to operate and can be directly controlled locally or remotely.
