The suspended center-driven sludge scraper is suitable for radial flow sedimentation tanks of small and medium diameters with central water inlet, peripheral water outlet, and central sludge discharge. It is mainly used for sludge discharge in the sedimentation tanks of urban wastewater treatment plants or industrial wastewater treatment projects.
Structure&Principle：
quipment adopts a center-driven, suspended structure. Wastewater flows in through the inlet pipe under the working bridge, diffuses through the draft tube, and flows evenly outward in a radial pattern. Suspended sludge settles at the bottom of the tank after sedimentation. The drive unit rotates the central vertical shaft, which in turn drives the scraper arms and scraper blades to rotate. The sludge is scraped from the perimeter toward the central sludge collection tank and discharged outside the tank through the sludge pipe by means of the hydrostatic pressure inside the tank. Surface scum is skimmed toward the edge of the tank by the skimming device and then scraped into the scum hopper by the scum rake for removal. Meanwhile, the supernatant liquid overflows through the triangular outlet weir plate into the outlet trough for discharge.
Main Features：
1. The working bridge adopts a full bridge structure, and its material can be carbon steel, stainless steel, or concrete.
2. The drive unit uses a vertical three stage cycloidal pinwheel reducer or a combination of a helical gear reducer and a worm gear reducer to ensure output torque and rotational speed.
3. The scraper adopts a linear scraper design.
4. The lower end of the vertical shaft of the sludge scraper is equipped with an underwater bearing and a scraper to prevent deflection of the vertical shaft during rotation and compaction of sludge in the sludge collection tank.
5. Dual mechanical and electrical overload protection is provided for safe and reliable operation.
6. The equipment is easy to operate and can be directly controlled locally or remotely.
