Application scenarios:
The peripheral drive sludge scraper is suitable for radial flow sedimentation tanks with central water inlet, peripheral water outlet, and central sludge discharge, particularly for medium and large tank diameters. It is mainly used for sludge discharge in the primary sedimentation tanks of urban wastewater treatment plants. This equipment obtained the Certificate of Science and Technology Achievement Promotion Project from the Ministry of Construction in 2002.
Structure&Principle:
The equipment adopts peripheral drive. Wastewater flows in through the central inlet pipe, diffuses through the stilling cylinder, and flows evenly outward in a radial pattern. Suspended sludge settles at the bottom of the tank after sedimentation. The drive unit rotates the working bridge along the periphery, which in turn drives the scraper arms and scraper blades to rotate. The sludge is scraped from the perimeter toward the central sludge collection tank and discharged outside the tank through the sludge pipe by means of the hydrostatic pressure inside the tank. Surface scum is skimmed toward the edge of the tank by the skimming device and then scraped into the scum hopper by the scum rake for discharge. Meanwhile, the supernatant liquid overflows through the triangular outlet weir plate into the outlet trough for discharge.
Main Features:
1. The working bridge can be either semibridge or fullbridge type, and its material can be carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum alloy.
2. The drive unit adopts a shaftmounted helical gear reducer directly connected to the driving roller, featuring a compact structure and high mechanical efficiency.
3. The scraper collects sludge along a logarithmic spiral path, ensuring good continuity and high sludge collection efficiency.
4. When the tank bottom slope is 1:10, the resistance during sludge scraping can be reduced.
5. Dual mechanical and electrical overload protection is provided for safe and reliable operation.
6. The equipment is easy to operate, equipped with a local/remote control selector switch for direct control.
