The non-metallic chain scraper is used in horizontal flow sedimentation tanks to scrape sludge from the bottom and skim scum from the surface, achieving solid-liquid separation.
Structure&Principle:
The equipment is mainly composed of a drive unit, driving sprocket, driven sprocket, non-metallic chains, scrapers, scum scrapers, guide rails, tensioning device, and an electrical control system.
Working Principle: The drive unit rotates the driving sprocket, causing the non-metallic chains on both sides to move slowly along the guide rails at the bottom of the tank. The scrapers attached to the chains move accordingly, continuously scraping the settled sludge toward the sludge hopper for discharge through the sludge pipe. At the same time, the scum scrapers on the chains operate on the water surface, pushing the scum into the scum trough for removal, thereby achieving solid-liquid separation.
