The horizontal sand discharge screw is mainly used to horizontally transport sand deposited at the bottom of the grit chamber to the sand collection pit or sand discharge port, achieving continuous, stable, and lownoise sand discharge operations.
Structure&Principle:
Structure: It is mainly composed of a Ushaped trough, helical blades (screw), drive unit (motor/reducer), bearing blocks, sand inlet, and sand outlet; some models include a cover plate and wearresistant bushing.
Principle: The motor drives the helical blades to rotate inside the trough, pushing and lifting the sand particles at the bottom of the grit chamber horizontally toward the sand outlet for discharge. Continuous sand removal is achieved through the continuous pushing action of the screw, and the Ushaped trough structure minimizes sand backflow and wear.

1. Enables full enclosure of the horizontal flow grit chamber to reduce odor leakage.
2. Fully automated operation with energysaving and lowwear characteristics. 3. Suitable for underground wastewater treatment plants, saving structural space.
