The Rotating Screen is a commonly used solid-liquid separation device in water treatment. It is mainly used to intercept and remove suspended solids and particulate impurities of smaller diameters in water supply systems. It is often applied in water supply projects such as water treatment plants that use surface water as their source. It can also be used in wastewater treatment projects to further remove contaminants from the water source subsequent to coarse screening.
Structure&Principle:
The equipment adopts a rotary design, where a filter belt composed of individual mesh panels forms the water-passing screen surface. As wastewater flows through, debris larger than the screen openings is intercepted. During operation, the filter belt rotates continuously in a cycle, lifting the trapped debris to the top. At the peak, pressurized water washes the debris off into a collection trough for further processing. The filter belt possesses strong self-cleaning capabilities, preventing clogging.
Main Features:
1. The drive unit adopts a cycloidal pinwheel or helical gear reduction motor for direct drive, featuring low noise, a compact structure, and stable operation.
2. The equipment offers three water inlet modes: front-side inlet, inner-side inlet, and outer-side inlet.
3. The equipment is easy to operate and can be controlled either locally or remotely. 4. To prevent accidental overload, both a mechanical shear pin and overcurrent protection are provided, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
