The central drive single (double) tube sludge suction machine is a key supporting equipment of the circular sedimentation tank and is widely used in the sludge separation link of urban sewage treatment plants, industrial wastewater treatment stations and water plants. -Double-tube mud suction machine: Two symmetrical main mud suction pipes are staggered with branch pipes, covering a wider area and making mud suction more uniform.  
The diameter of the mud suction pipe is designed according to the volume of water to be processed (usually 100-200mm). The material is stainless steel or carbon steel for anti-corrosion and sewage corrosion resistance.
4. Mud discharge system
- Gravity mud discharge: Utilizes the water level difference in the sedimentation tank (the water level in the pond is higher than the mud discharge pipe outlet) to achieve unpowered mud discharge, suitable for small and medium-sized ponds.  
- Pump suction and sludge discharge: The sludge is lifted by a submersible sewage pump, which is suitable for scenarios with large pool depth or high sludge concentration.
5. Control system
Adopting PLC intelligent control, it supports automatic start and stop, speed adjustment, overload alarm (such as excessive mud scraping resistance), liquid level monitoring and other functions. Some equipment can be remotely monitored to reduce operation and maintenance costs.


2. Working principle: rotating scraper + efficient suction and discharge
After the equipment is started, the central drive drives the scraper arm to rotate slowly, and the scraper pushes the sludge at the bottom of the pool to the suction port. The single-tube sludge suction machine uses the negative pressure or gravity of the main sludge suction pipe to suck sludge from the branch pipes and discharge it through the central sludge discharge pipe; the double-tube sludge suction machine works simultaneously through the two main sludge suction pipes, increasing the sludge collection efficiency by 1.5-2 times, and the staggered branch pipe design reduces mud suction dead corners and ensures that the sludge at the bottom of the pool is evenly removed.

- Single-tube sludge suction machine: It is suitable for situations where the amount of sludge is not large, such as township sewage treatment plants (tank diameter 10-15m), small industrial wastewater treatment stations (such as food processing, printing and dyeing wastewater), etc. The advantage is that installation and maintenance are convenient and the cost is controllable.  
- Double-tube sludge suction machine: It is suitable for secondary sedimentation tanks in urban sewage treatment plants (pool diameter 20-50m), large chemical wastewater treatment plants (high sludge concentration) and other scenarios. It can meet the needs of large processing capacity and ensure stable effluent quality.  

When selecting, a comprehensive judgment must be made based on parameters such as sedimentation tank diameter, sludge concentration (such as activated sludge concentration 2-4g/L), treated water volume (average daily average of 10,000 tons or more, double pipes).


5. Maintenance points and development trends
- Routine maintenance: Regularly check the wear of the scraper (replace every 3-6 months), bearing lubrication (add butter every month), clogging of the suction pipe (clean it in time), and whether the anti-corrosion layer is intact (to avoid rust).  
- Future trends: With the upgrade of environmental protection requirements, equipment will develop in an intelligent direction, such as using frequency conversion speed regulation (adjusting the speed according to the sludge concentration), online sludge concentration monitoring (automatically optimizing the sludge discharge volume), remote fault diagnosis and other technologies to further improve operating efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
