Project name: Shenzhen Hengling Water Purification Plant Phase II Standard Upgrading and Renovation Project

This project is a key livelihood project invested and constructed by the Shenzhen Municipal Government. It is located on the south bank of the Longgang River in Zengwu Natural Community.district.In order to further improve the water quality of the river and in response to the requirements of the Guangdong Provincial Environmental Protection Department, the sewage plant hasThe second phase of the project will be implemented in phases starting from 2018.。
After the BEWG Hengling water purification plant has undergone quality improvement and transformation, the designed scale of the Hengling water purification plant has reached600,000 tons per day, with a complete range of sewage/sludge treatment processes, with as many as 12 common processes, including industry-leading MBBR process, magnetic coagulation clarifier process, ultrafiltration membrane process, sand sedimentation tank process, etc. It can be called a "showroom of sewage treatment technology". Through the support of leading technologies, the Hengling Water Purification Plant has fully achieved quality and efficiency improvements. In 2022, it will treat a total of 187.79 million tons of sewage, reduce the chemical oxygen demand of water pollutants by 31,975 tons, and reduce ammonia nitrogen by 3,779 tons. The treated tail water will be used for landscape water replenishment in upstream rivers and wetland parks, Longgang River water replenishment, and industrial water reuse.

Comparison before and after transformation
Before transformation: low water flow and easy overflow;The filtration effect is poor and the filter head is easily clogged.
After transformation: the liquid level difference is normal, the slag discharge effect is good, and the slag discharge volume is stable.

The "Environmental Protection Demonstration Plant" built by the Hengling Water Purification Plant has systematically realized the landscape, ecology, human culture, and technology of water facilities through the construction of environmental education exhibition halls and environmental protection science education bases. It has given water facilities diverse cultural connotations and artistic tastes, and has become a typical case of "government-led, social support, and mass participation" water culture construction, helping to form a new water management pattern of "co-construction, co-governance, and sharing" for the whole people.
