Introduction to water plant
Fairy River Sewage Treatment Plant is located at No. 82 Qinghai Road, Yuhong District, Shenyang City. It covers an area of 7.2 hectares. It mainly collects industrial wastewater and domestic sewage from sanitary culverts and heavy industry culverts in Tiexi District. It extends to Xinghua Street in Tiexi District in the east, to Lanjun Road in the south, to the Shenshan Railway on the west side of Chonggong Street in the west, and to the Beijing-Shenyang Railway in the north. The total water collection area is 44 square kilometers and serves a population of about 800,000.
The water plant was built in 2003. The first phase of the project was put into operation on November 30, 2003, and the second phase of the project was put into operation on December 1, 2005, with a total investment of 390 million yuan. It adopts a high-efficiency reaction sedimentation tank + two-stage aerated biological filter process, and implements the second-level standard of the "Pollutant Discharge Standard for Urban Sewage Treatment Plants" (GB18918-2002). In 2018, the Environmental Protection Group invested 640 million yuan to implement a standard upgrading and renovation project for the sewage treatment plant. The sewage treatment process, while keeping the original pretreatment system unchanged, changed the two-stage aerated biological filter process to a three-stage filter, and added an in-depth treatment system. The treatment capacity remains unchanged, and the treated effluent water quality can meet the Class A emission standard of the "Pollutant Discharge Standard for Urban Sewage Treatment Plants" (GB18918-2002).
